Getting Started
6 questionsDownload Savr from the App Store, create a free account (or sign in with Apple/Google), and you're in. The onboarding flow takes about 2 minutes — we'll walk you through setting up your first account and savings goal.
Nope. Savr is completely bank-connection-free. You manually enter your own transactions, which means your bank credentials never leave your device. This is a feature, not a limitation — it keeps you more mindful of your spending.
Savr is currently iOS-only. We built it with Apple's SwiftData and SwiftUI for the best performance and privacy. Android support may come in a future update.
Savr requires iOS 17.6 or later. We recommend keeping your device updated to the latest iOS version for the best experience and security patches.
You can explore the app, but saving your data and syncing across devices requires a free account. Creating one takes less than 30 seconds and only needs your email.
You can import a JSON backup if you have one, or start fresh by entering your current account balances. Many users find a fresh start actually motivating — it's a reset, not a loss.
Data & Privacy
6 questionsAll your financial data — transactions, budgets, savings goals, planned payments — is stored entirely on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.
The only data we collect is your email address, used for authentication via Firebase Auth. That's it. No financial data, no behavioral analytics, no location data.
Absolutely not. We make money through Pro subscriptions — not by selling your data. Your privacy is a core value, not a checkbox.
Yes. Go to Settings → Personal Data & Privacy → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. You can also delete just your financial data without deleting your account.
Your data syncs privately via iCloud if you enable CloudKit sync in Settings. This sync is stored in your personal iCloud container — we have no access to it.
You can sign in with Email/Password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. All authentication is handled by Firebase Auth — industry-standard, battle-tested security.
Budgets & Transactions
6 questionsTap the '+' button at the bottom of the screen. Choose Expense, Income, or Transfer. Enter the amount, account, category, and an optional note. You can also snap a receipt photo and AI will auto-fill the details.
Yes! Go to Settings → Categories to create custom categories and subcategories with icons. System default categories are always available and cannot be deleted.
Each budget can be set to roll over unused funds. Choose from three policies: None (reset every period), Positive Only (carry forward savings), or Both (carry forward both surplus and deficit).
Yes — tap any transaction to open the edit screen. Deleting a transaction fully reverses its effect on your account balance. Bulk delete is also available from the transactions list.
Yes. Savr supports Expense, Income, and Transfer record types. The dashboard shows your net cash flow so you always know if you're in the green.
Yes — use Planned Payments to schedule recurring bills like rent, subscriptions, and loans. Savr will notify you before they're due and auto-log them on the due date if you prefer.
Savings Goals
6 questionsGo to the Planning tab, tap Savings Goals, then 'New Goal'. Give it a name (e.g., Emergency Fund, New Laptop, Bohol Trip), set a target amount, a deadline, and you're live.
Tap any goal and press 'Add Contribution'. Enter the amount and source account. Pro users can also set up automation rules to contribute automatically on a schedule.
Free users can have up to 3 active goals. Pro users get unlimited goals. Go ahead and save for an emergency fund and that Boracay trip at the same time.
You'll earn XP, unlock a completion achievement, and the goal marks itself as completed. Pro users can also use savings buckets to split one goal into sub-targets.
Yes. Set a target date when creating a goal. Savr shows your progress percentage, days remaining, and whether you're on track or overdue.
Budgets control how much you spend in a category. Goals build up savings toward something specific. They work together — stick to your budgets, and you'll have more to put toward your goals.
Planned Payments
6 questionsPlanned Payments are scheduled future transactions — rent, SSS/PhilHealth contributions, Netflix, loan repayments, or any bill you know is coming. Savr factors them into your Safe-to-Spend so you're never caught off guard.
As far out as you want. Schedule your yearly insurance renewal 11 months from now if you like.
Yes. Savr sends push notifications before each scheduled payment. You can configure how many days in advance you want to be reminded (default is 3 days).
Yes. Choose one-time, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly recurrence when creating a planned payment.
In Manual mode, Savr prompts you to confirm before logging it. In Automatic mode, it creates the transaction on the due date without any action needed from you.
Yes. The Planned Payments screen in the Planning tab shows all upcoming payments sorted by date, with status indicators for Pending, Confirmed, Skipped, and Failed instances.
Gamification
6 questionsYou earn XP for financial actions — creating goals, making contributions, completing challenges, and maintaining streaks. Accumulate XP to level up. Free users are capped at Level 5; Pro users have unlimited progression.
There are 22 achievements across six categories: First Steps, Consistency, Milestones, Efficiency, Automation, and Diversity. Each has Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers with increasing XP rewards.
A streak tracks consecutive days/weeks/months with at least one savings contribution. Longer streaks earn more XP. Pro users get 2 streak freeze tokens per cycle to protect their streak from breaking.
Challenges are Pro-exclusive time-bound savings goals with special rules — like the 52-Week Challenge, No-Spend Challenge, or Emergency Fund Sprint. Complete them to earn bonus XP and exclusive badges.
You get a visual XP toast notification and a level badge update. Higher levels reflect serious financial discipline built over time.
The gamification system is woven into the app experience, but you can ignore the widgets by removing them from your dashboard in Settings → Dashboard.
Troubleshooting
6 questionsTry force-quitting the app and reopening it. If that doesn't work, restart your iPhone. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall Savr — your data is safe if iCloud sync is enabled. Still having issues? Email us at support@savrfinance.com.
On the login screen, tap 'Forgot Password?' and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
Account balances in Savr are always computed from your transaction history. If a balance is off, review recent transactions for duplicates or incorrect amounts and edit/delete as needed.
Check the date filter on the Transactions screen — it may be set to 'Today' only. Change it to 'This Week' or 'This Month' to see all recent entries.
Unfortunately, deleted transactions cannot be recovered — this is by design for privacy reasons. You'll need to re-enter it manually. We recommend double-checking before confirming a delete.
